About Aaron J. Farmer
Aaron Farmer has spent 30 years in the insurance industry — starting as a scratch agent in 1996 with Farmers Insurance, becoming an independent broker in 2019, and building one of the most specialized flood and specialty insurance operations in the country.
He is President of Jump Insurance Services and founder of multiple specialty insurance brands including California Flood Insurance, Statewide Flood Insurance, Cheap Earthquake Insurance, Jump Trucking Insurance, and Cheap Sober Living Insurance. His firms have helped over 40,000 homeowners and business owners across California and the nation find the right coverage in markets that most agents won’t touch.
Flood Insurance Specialist & Lloyd's Coverholder
Aaron began specializing in flood insurance in 2012, at a time when most agents steered clients to the NFIP and called it done. He saw something different: a market filled with confused homeowners, misleading flood maps, and coverage gaps that only a specialist could navigate.
In 2016 he became a Lloyd's of London coverholder — a formal authorization granted by a Lloyd's managing agent that allows his firms to enter into insurance contracts directly on behalf of Lloyd's syndicates. Some of those binding authority agreements are exclusive to his agencies. This means Aaron's operation functions not only as a broker but sometimes as the carrier itself — a distinction that puts him in rare company in the U.S. flood insurance market.
His flood insurance practice writes through retail brokers as well as direct to consumers, and now operates in nearly every state in the country. What began in California and the western states — Arizona, Washington, Oregon — has grown into a genuinely national footprint.
